Greek pianist Christos Danakas will take part in a special project celebrating the 100th birthday of legendary composer Mikis Theodorakis. The portrait concerts, titled “To Create a Better World”, will honor Theodorakis’ remarkable legacy and diverse musical output.

In these performances, Christos will showcase a lesser-known side of Theodorakis by performing his solo piano works, specifically the Preludes and Melos pieces. These works offer listeners a fresh and unique perspective on the composer’s artistry.

Christos will also collaborate with soprano Fanie Antonelou in selected songs by Theodorakis and accompany the Coro per Resistencia under the direction of Fabian Wöhrle, contributing to a rich and varied musical program.
